Eastern League of Professional Painter
I am a proud member of this professional artist organization and we will be having our first group show at the Richard Low Evans Gallery in the Blue Ridge Art Center from July 29th - August 26th, 2017. The opening reception will be July 29th from 5 -7pm.
This show will highlight the work of many accomplished artists from the eastern states and will offer wonderful paintings for purchase.
 This will be an event not to miss.

Plein Air at the Vineyards
ArThis is a Plein air piece I painted during the PLEIN AIR at the VINEYARDS  in Ellijay , GA. which took place on June 10,11 and 12, 2016. It was great fun to meet new artists , the vintners and paint at all 5 vineyard the 3 days. We all rotated among the vineyards and had a 2 hour quick paint at Fainting Goat Vineyard. Sweet Fragrance 9 x 12
I am so please that "Sweet Fragrance" was chosen as the Best in The Pastel Category in the Artist Guild of Northwest Georgia 2015 juried show competition. 

This painting was inspired by many Botanical Gardens that I had visited over the summer. They all had such beautiful rose gardens that I knew I just had to paint them. It was a fun venture, a bit different for me but we all need to get out of our comfort zone to stretch as an artist.

 I am proud to announce that this painting ,"My Favorite Place" won an award at the Southeaster Pastel Society Show May 2013.

I am drawn to painting in the deep woods to try and express the coolness of the air that the shade and water brings as well as the feeling of serenity.
